Dimraeth

Mudtek's pixel fantasy RPG in Early Access, and the release hour the countdown got wrong.

Early accessPC

Dimraeth is Mudtek's self-published first game, a handcrafted pixel fantasy RPG with Souls-lite combat, crafting and base building for one to eight players, and it is still in Steam Early Access. This hub covers the unlock time in Asia/Shanghai and the countdown that pointed at the wrong hour, what the Early Access build contains and what it costs, the published PC requirements and the peer-to-peer co-op model, the language and controller support, the latest official build notes, and the questions players are asking in the game's own discussions. No build was played by this site.

What is Dimraeth, and is it still Early Access?

Dimraeth is Mudtek's first game, and the developer describes it as self-published. The store describes it as "a 1-8 player fantasy RPG set in a handcrafted pixel world", and the About text calls it a hybrid action RPG that blends deliberate Souls-lite combat with character progression, crafting and base building, playable alone or with up to seven other players in seamless drop-in, drop-out co-op. Steam lists Action, Adventure, RPG and Early Access among its genres, and the purchase panel is marked "Early Access Game", so it was still in Early Access on the day this page was written. The store lists Windows only, with no macOS or Linux build, and the categories include Single-player, Multi-player, Co-op, Online Co-op, Steam Achievements, Full controller support, Steam Cloud and Stats. The Early Access launch post says the wishlist count had "neared 500K". We did not play the game, so everything here is what the publisher published rather than a session report.

When did Dimraeth unlock in Asia/Shanghai?

Three different hours are in circulation and only one of them is the unlock. The Steam US-English release field reads "Sep 15, 2026". The developer's own release-hours post, published 14 September 2026 in Asia/Shanghai (13 September in UTC), lists "Tokyo: 01:00, Wednesday Sept 16 ... Shanghai: 00:00, Wednesday Sept 16 ... Berlin: 18:00, Tuesday Sept 15" and adds that "The times above are correct, and the game will unlock at 18:00 CEST as planned". The pinned Early Access FAQ answers the same question as "September 15th at 16:00 UTC", which is the identical instant, because 16:00 UTC on 15 September is 00:00 on 16 September in Asia/Shanghai. A separate pinned thread, "Current Issue: Countdown Timer is Incorrect", says the hourly countdown on the store page was wrong and points readers at that same release-hours post. So this site publishes 16 September 2026 as the unlock day. The store's own blurb still says "Dimraeth is in active development toward Early Access Release on September 15th 2026"; that copy was never updated after launch. Full detail on the release time page.

What does it cost, and what is actually in Early Access?

The launch price was $19.79 with the opening discount against a $21.99 standard price; the Early Access FAQ states it will be "19.79 USD with the opening discount (21.99 standard)" and then use Steam's default regional pricing. That discount has ended, and the store now lists $21.99 with no discount applied. Early Access ships three races and three classes, Elf, Minotaur and Human paired with Shadow, Mage and Brawler, the Act 1 story across three chapters, a level cap of 25 for Act I, and about 12-15 hours of story, with a repeatable deed system of progressive difficulties past the end of Act I. The stated roadmap is two new race and class updates followed by the Act II story update, and the FAQ says there are no microtransactions. The demo is gone: the developer said it would be taken down on 15 July 2026, and the store no longer lists a demo. More on the price and Early Access content page.

What do you need to run it, and who hosts the co-op?

The minimum is Windows 10, an Intel Core i3 (4th gen) or AMD equivalent, 4 GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (4GB) or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT (4GB) with DirectX 11 and 5 GB of storage. The store adds the two lines that decide most support questions: "4 GB VRAM required" and "Integrated graphics not supported". The recommended tier moves to Windows 10 or 11, an i5 (6th gen) or Ryzen 3, 8 GB of RAM, a GTX 1050 Ti or RX 560 or better, DirectX 12 and 10 GB of storage. There is no dedicated-server option: the Early Access FAQ says Dimraeth "uses a peer-to-peer system for co-op play", where one player acts as the host when you start a game with friends, and that dedicated or private servers are not currently supported. Couch co-op is not in Early Access either. These are the publisher's published figures, not a measurement by this site.

Which languages and controllers does it support?

The store lists eight interface languages: English, Portuguese - Brazil, Simplified Chinese, German, Russian, Spanish - Latin America, Korean and Japanese. The localisation note in the September 2026 content post matches that list, describing Chinese and Portuguese - Brazil as continued and German, Korean, Spanish, Russian and Japanese as new at Early Access, and the Early Access FAQ lists the same seven non-English languages. Polish is not among them, and two threads in the game's own discussions ask for it. On input, the store lists Full controller support alongside DualShock and DualSense support, and the FAQ says you can play on the Steam Deck, on PC with a controller, or on handheld PCs. The listing carries no full-audio marker for any language, so none is claimed here.

What is the current build, and what was just fixed?

Version 0.107.7822 went out on 5 October 2026 at 10:30 UTC, which is 18:30 in Asia/Shanghai. Its own note says there were no balancing changes, only hotfixes, and lists very large bases now loading for joining players, huge worlds freezing less, tabbing out no longer freezing the host, gear with impossible stats being destroyed, guided-fang shots going where you aim, and crafting stations keeping their queue across a world reload. Version 0.107.7839 followed on 13 October 2026 at 19:01 UTC, which is 14 October in Asia/Shanghai, with combat fixes for the Goblin King's phase change and Smashmouth's slam crater, Pandemic Cloud keeping its full duration, Sanctum rubble no longer returning over ground you already unlocked, and the Forest King bounty re-locking its waypoints after a relog. A multiplayer client update, 0.107.7832, shipped in between on 12 October 2026. We did not run any of these builds.

What Dimraeth players are asking

These are real questions players asked in the game's own Steam discussions, re-checked against the thread on 21 October 2026. The thread link for each one is in this section's sources. Where the developer has published an answer it is linked; where they have not, the question is left open rather than guessed at.

  • "The character dialogue writing is obviously AI, and you have admitted to \"using AI as a tool\" on discord, but there is no disclosure because you \"don't think its necessary\"." — asked in the Steam thread Remove Ai dialogue from the game or add the AI disclosure back to the steam page; intent: informational. The store page as read on 21 October 2026 contains no AI disclosure text, and the thread itself carries no answer from Mudtek.
  • "I dont know what is it with this generation of games and devs that seem to have a fascination for making games with small fonts. I can barely read what is on screen on my big monitor unless im sitting really close to it." — asked in the Steam thread I thank you for the UI size slider but please add a text size slider or options for its size.; intent: informational. A developer reply in that thread says the request is not as simple as enlarging text, because tooltips and text have to work with localisation, but that the request has been heard before.
  • "Hi! I really like your game and I wanted to ask if you are considering adding Polish language support sometime in the future?" — asked in the Steam thread Polish language support?; intent: informational.
  • "Please add the Polish language." — asked in the Steam thread Polish localization?; intent: informational.
  • "Are there plans (concrete plans) to bring couch co-op into the game? The feature it's a deal breaker for me, personally" — asked in the Steam thread Couch co-op; intent: informational. The Early Access FAQ answers this one directly: "Not for Early Access".
  • "Anybody else having issues with random freezing followed by crashing? Seems to happen alot around ruins but also had it happen just walking in a forest." — asked in the Steam thread Random Crashing; intent: informational.

We could not read a search-volume source for any of these, so this list shows that the questions were really asked, not how many people search them.
