Vanisha

Six-sector shoot‑'em‑up, chip builds, six ships, mastery once the campaign ends.

ReleasedPC

Vanisha is DANYL's Windows twin-stick shoot-'em-up. Its six-sector campaign combines designed enemy waves, multi-stage bosses, more than one hundred equippable chips and six unlockable ship types. This guide explains the published progression systems, minimum PC requirements and the developer's dated Demo-save compatibility guidance. The official trailer and older press-kit screenshots show the game's visual style; they are not a current-build playtest.

Campaign, sectors and the combat loop

What the store page actually says

Vanisha's current campaign is a linear story run through six sectors. Each sector has pre-laid wave sets and ends on a multi-stage boss fight, so the loop is sector → waves → boss → next sector. The store description also calls out dash with an invulnerability window and a Perfect Dash bonus for well-timed dodges; the page does not list the dash duration or the exact input binding.

What this site does not claim

No frame counts, no key bindings and no per-boss pattern were independently verified. The screenshot used in this section is pulled from the DANYL press kit dated June 2026 and is shown as visual context, not as proof of current build values, current damage numbers or current wave counts.

Chips, ship types and post-campaign mastery

Chips

The Steam page lists more than one hundred equippable chips across offence, defence, mobility and economy. Card slots start small and keep expanding, but the page does not specify what triggers that expansion or give unlock thresholds. A complete chip list and drop rates have not been established here.

Ships

The Steam description distinguishes the six unlockable ships by gun style: Basic is balanced, Laser is piercing, Beam is continuous, Machinegun fires rapidly, Shotgun is point-blank, and Charge Shot uses a heavy charged shot. These are the developer's style descriptions, not a tested best-ship ranking or damage table. The page says ships are earned and then upgraded, but their individual unlock requirements have not been established here.

Mastery

Complete the campaign to unlock post-game mastery skills. Exact mastery-node effects and chip combinations still need current-version evidence.

Will your Demo progress transfer?

In a 20 September 2026 Steam reply, DANYL said Demo saves created or played during roughly the preceding two months would transfer, while older saves were incompatible after substantial game changes. The reference date matters: this is not a rolling two-month window counted back from today.

Read the Demo-save transfer answer for the dated condition and original developer reply. No precise cutoff day, manual copy procedure or guarantee for an individual save was provided.

The later menu-cleanup hotfix concerns wishlist buttons, not a newly announced save-transfer procedure.

Windows minimum, Steam client note and language row

Minimum Windows configuration (publisher-listed)

ItemPublished requirement
OSWindows 8, 10, 11
Processor2+ GHz
Memory2 GB RAM
Graphicsnot listed on the store page
DirectXVersion 10
Storage300 MB available space

The Steam client adds a separate footnote that it supports Windows 10 and later; the page does not guarantee Windows 8 still runs the current client. A recommended tier is not shown on the store page, and this hub does not invent one.

Language row

The English store row carries a tick in the Interface column and a tick in the Subtitles column. Full Audio is left blank — that gap is treated as a gap, not as proof the game has no audio at all. The hub does not assume audio is missing or present.

QUICK REFERENCE

Answers before the deep dive

Does the Vanisha Demo save carry into the full game?

DANYL said on 20 September 2026 that Demo saves created or played during roughly the preceding two months would transfer; older saves were incompatible after major changes. Count from that reply, not today. No precise cutoff day or manual transfer procedure was provided, and we have not tested an individual save.
